Knicks Back to Form

Well Well well, the Knicks finally looked good again. As a longtime Knicks fan, it’s becoming more common to have to deal with the ups and downs of this team every year. Losing, looking horrendous. Then back to steamrolling bad teams and appearing to look like actual contenders.
Good thing the Eastern Conference stinks!
Detroit on the brink of collapse, to an 8 seed. Overrated much?
Celtics going to 7 while Embiid is back and healthy(?) and dominant. Boston has no answer for a skilled big like The Process. Guy’s a walking, falling, flailing bucket. If the C’s can’t shoot 40%+ from 3 at home, they have no shot.
Could it be Philly v Knicks and Toronto v Magic in the 2nd round? What are those odds on Kalshi right now — someone check.
Back to the Knicks

Thursday night in Atlanta was a 51-point domination. Brunson finished with only 17, but NYK had 83 points at the half and were up 47!? The Hawks proved a little early luck was on their side with back-to-back 1-point wins and two blown 4th Qtr leads by the on-again, off-again Knicks team.
But a Knicks playoff closeout beatdown like this? It’s a beautiful sight. The kind we are not used to. OG Anunoby put up 29 on 11/14 shooting and looked like a man playing against high schoolers. KAT quietly stuffed the stat sheet with a triple-double. Mikal Bridges — the worst trade acquisition of all time — actually had points tonight. 24 to be exact which seems unheard of at this point. Of course he’d have his best ’26 playoff game when the team’s up almost 50 at half. But when this team is locked in like tonight and healthy, they genuinely look like a different animal.
And now the Knicks get the best possible reward — rest. They sit, they watch, they wait. The Celtics and Sixers are about to beat each other up in a Game 7 on the road, and New York gets to grab the popcorn. Whoever comes out of that one will be bruised, tired, and walking straight into a hungry Knicks team at the Garden.
The East is wide open. Don’t look now, but the Knicks might actually be the team to beat.
